Share Transfer Procedure
Below is a list of the items Counsel's Chambers Limited requires in order to process a Share Transfer.
- The original Share Certificate (script).
- A form of Transfer, duly executed and signed by both parties, and stamped by the Stamp Duties Office.
- A letter from the Floor Secretary approving the new floor member (if applicable).
If shares are being transferred to a Company, a standard Deed between Counsel's Chambers Limited and the Company in question must be duly executed (must not be amended). If it is proposed that the shares are to be transferred to a self managed superannuation fund, advice should be obtained. The Deed is required to be stamped by the Stamp Duties Office.

Transfer of Shares Form:
The Transfer of Shares form needs to be completed in the event of a sale of shares. It needs to be signed by both parties and stamped by the stamp duty's office. If shares are in a company name, the form should be sealed with the company seal.

Deed of Trust:
The Transfer of Shares form needs to be completed in the event of a sale of shares. It needs to be signed by both parties and stamped by the stamp duty's office. If shares are in a company name, the form should be sealed with the company seal.

Lost Share Certificate Procedure:
In order for a replacement share certificate to be issued we require the following:
- A Statutory Declaration.
- A letter to the Directors of Counsel’s Chambers Limited stating that the share certificate has been lost.
- An advertisement to be placed in the Sydney Morning Herald, a copy of which must be forwarded to this office.
Precedents for all the above are attached below.
On receipt of the above, pending Board approval, a new share certificate will be issued.
Counsel’s Chambers Limited does not charge for the reissuing of a share certificate.

Direct Debit Form:
The direct debit form needs to be completed in order for maintenance contributions to be automatically debited from the shareholders account on the first working day of the month. It needs to be filled in by the shareholder and returned to the Office of Counsel's Chambers Limited.

Credit Card Form:
The credit card form needs to be completed in order for maintenance contributions to be paid by credit card on the first working day of the month. It needs to be filled in by the shareholder and returned to the Office of Counsel's Chambers Limited.
Please note: all credit card payments will incur a fee of 3% to cover processing costs.
